The purpose of this Organization shall be the advancement of better government through organizing, encouraging participation of democratic voters, the selection of outstanding citizens as candidates for elective offices, and the election of Democratic Party candidates.

WTDO meetings
WTDO usually meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Winfield Fire Department, 27W530 Highlake Rd (intersection of Winfield Rd and Highlake, north of the train tracks) in Winfield.  Please check for changes, especially around holidays.  Meetings often include speakers from community agencies or organizations and candidates for office.

WTDO Events
WTDO members march in the Independence Day parade in Warrenville (July 3), West Chicago Railroad Days parade (July) and Winfield Good Old Days (September).  We are active in many other local events. Keep an eye on the events page.

Caucus
A caucus is held every 4 years to elect Democratic candidates for Winfield Township offices. The next caucus will be in December 2024. The date set by the State of Illinois.

If you are a Democratic voter in Winfield Township, just come to the meetings to be a member

How to help WTDO
VOTE!
Vote for Democratic candidates. Volunteer to help get Democratic candidates elected.

Your Time
WTDO is responsible for informing voters in Winfield Township about Democratic candidates. This is primarily the responsibility of Precinct Committeemen.  To extend their reach, volunteers are always needed to help with mailings, stuff literature bags, canvass voters, and many other activities. Email winfielddems@gmail.com to offer your time.

Your Expertise
Website work, newsletter authors, letter writers, Get Out the Vote, election judges, poll watchers – what can you offer?
Spanish speaking election judges are especially needed.
